Three days dedicated to the great Russian director Aleksandr Sokurov, including meetings, masterclasses and screenings, in Tonino Guerra's iconic locations.

The Tonino Guerra 2025 Award, presided over by Laura Delli Colli and instituted by Andrea Guerra, President of the Tonino Guerra Study Centre Museum, will be awarded to Aleksandr Sokurov, one of the most profound and innovative authors of contemporary cinema.
Over the years, the Award has celebrated great protagonists of international culture such as Werner Herzog, Marco Tullio Giordana and Carmen Yáñez.

PROGRAM

15 NOVEMBER - C'entro Supercinema, Santarcangelo di Romagna
- 5.00 p.m.: Masterclass by Aleksandr Sokurov
Sokurov meets the audience to talk about his cinema, reflect on the role of memory in the contemporary age and recall his artistic dialogues with Tonino Guerra.
- 6 pm: Award ceremony
Sokurov receives the Tonino Guerra 2025 Award.
- 6.30 p.m.: Screening of "Moscow Elegy" (1987, 88')
Documentary dedicated to Andrej Tarkovskij and Tonino Guerra.

16 NOVEMBER - Tonino Guerra Association, Pennabilli
- 5.00 p.m.: Masterclass by Aleksandr Sokurov
Meeting with the public in the presence of the Tonino Guerra Association Scientific Committee.
- 6 p.m.: Screening of "Maria, peasant elegy" (1987, 41')
Sokurov's first completed work, a poetic portrait of Soviet rural life.

17 NOVEMBER - Fulgor Cinema, Rimini
- 5.00 p.m.: Masterclass by Aleksandr Sokurov
Sokurov meets the public.
- 6.00 p.m.: Screening of "Russian Ark" (2002, 99')
A unique journey into Russian history through a single 90-minute sequence shot inside the Hermitage.

Over the course of the three days, the director will also visit the "In the World of Tonino Guerra" Museum in Santarcangelo, the Tonino Guerra House Museum in Pennabilli, and the Fellini Museum in Rimini, in an ideal itinerary among the Maestro's "places of the soul".

The event anticipates the sixth edition of "I Luoghi dell'Anima - Italian Film Festival", which will be held in the same locations from 10 to 14 December 2025, with a special pre-opening event on 9 December.
