Tourist information centres
IAT: Tourist Information and Reception
The Tourist Information Offices provide free assistance to tourists, also in foreign languages:
- provide information and promotional material relating to their respective territory and the region
- hotel and other accommodation facilities
- events and happenings
- local resources
- tourism and leisure services
- transport and utilities services
- They are also a first point of reception and assistance in the event of a complaint or a hotel tourism dispute.
- provide tourists with open and free Wi-Fi connectivity on site
- can carry out reception activities
- may carry out tourist information and reception activities, outside their usual location, on occasions of particular tourist importance (IAT Mobile)
- sell publications, merchandising and local products, in compliance with the regulations in force.
IAT R
They carry out, in addition to the core IAT activity, the direct booking of tourist services and overnight stays for the region.
In addition to the services of IAT R, IATs provide the following additional services:
- book and sell tourist services (overnight stays, excursions, experiences, guided tours, museum tickets, local transport, transfers, tickets for shows and events, etc. in accordance with the principle of fairness, correctness and transparency towards all businesses in the tourism and hotel sector in the area of reference).
DIGITAL IAT/MEDIA PLATFORMS AND WELCOME ROOM
- providing extensive multilingual information on heritage, activities and tourist services in the area
- exploit the full potential of 4.0 technology to enhance the tourist experience.
Digital IATs can be:
a) interactive multimedia kiosks, for the direct use of tourists and visitors
b) multimedia platforms enabling content to be transmitted directly to tourists' personal devices.
In both cases they provide real-time public utility information and tourist-cultural news.
WELCOME ROOM
are covered spaces of free access for browsing tourist information, retrieving printed materials, immersive experiences or for independently using multimedia platforms to transmit content directly to tourists' personal devices.
