How to get around

These pages give you the opportunity to discover our towns.
The public bus service is provided by START Romagna which covers distances throughout the province.
Tickets and monthly/yearly tickets/travel cards can be purchased at the sales points of the START Romagna Agency and in shops displaying the Bus Tickets sticker; they must be validated at the start of the bus journey.

Download the Map of sustainable Rimini here: or from the destination portal www.visitrimini.com in the section Rimini è… ECO!, and they are also available - in a paper version from sources managed in a responsible manner – and distributed at the 7 tourist offices in the town: in Piazzale Fellini, Train Station,
Visitor Center, Piazzale Marvelli, Miramare, Viserba and the START ticket office on the Square in front of the station. The map is in two languages, Italian and English, and the use of effective icons makes it understandable to everyone.

But what does the Map of sustainable Rimini contain?
It starts with the report of the 10 Bicipolitana lines, in addition to the green ring, whose routes are clearly indicated with numbers and the covered section and highlighted with different colors. Then it goes on to the Metromare line, departing from the Rimini train station, where the Bike Park is clearly marked, which offers, in addition to the rental of all types of bicycles, a cycle shop and an electric charging station for bicycles.
The columns for the electric charging of cars and motorcycles distributed throughout the town are highlighted and all the electric mobility services in sharing are listed, with the relative methods of use: cars, scooters, bicycles, and segways.
The new Park of the Sea is marked, in the open stretches from Miramare to Torre Pedrera, with relaxation areas, equipped fitness areas, and play areas for children. And more broadly speaking, there is no shortage of indications regarding the main green city parks. There are also water houses and the major markets of local producers.
A zoom on the historic center helps the visitor remember the cultural wealth of the town, as it is told by its many historical monuments and those ongoing ones.
The back of the Map is devoted to the story of Rimini that is changing, becoming more sustainable, and the main areas that are proof of this change, starting from the Protection Plan of Optimized Bathing, with the protection of the sea and beaches, to 130 kilometers of cycle paths, to the urban spaces available, to electric sharing, to food products at kilometer 0. And to be even more concrete, VisitRimini offers some themed experiences: an invitation to live and enjoy this new dimension of the city.

Shuttle mare

Reaching the sea for free and without a car
With Shuttlemare it is possible to get on from any local public transportation stop located inland from the railway and get off at any seaside railway stop: it is not possible to request the service between two stops that are inland from the railway or between two seaside railway stops.
In order to find your way around the areas covered by the service, you can use the Shuttlemare Map: you can choose routes from the orange to the blue area and vice versa, while you cannot move between two areas of the same color.
The area served by Shuttlemare is bordered by State highway SS16 to the sea and the Marecchia river in Viale Siracusa. The destinations served can go from the canal port to Bathing area 100.
Shuttlemare can also be used after leaving your car at the Rimini park-and-ride parking lots.

Rimini Bike Park

Do you want to learn about the town of Rimini on two wheels?
You start out from the Bike Park, right in front of the railway station, where the Metromare also leaves from - the rapid coastal means of transportation that connects Rimini to Riccione - a reference point for those who travel by bike in Rimini.

Throughout the summer, those who show up at the Bike Park with a Tper regional train ticket to Rimini or
with a Tper season ticket can take advantage of a 30% discount on rental rates.

The initiative, thanks to an agreement with Trenitalia Tper and the municipality of Rimini, encourages sustainable inter-modality by promoting connections between the train and other means of transportation in respect of the environment. Furthermore, the Bike Park rental service for cargo bikes (6 available) is free until the end of September 2022.

An opportunity for those wishing to try out these new vehicles designed for the transportation of goods, the transportation of children with a front seat on two wheels, or the transportation of disabled people with pedal assistance. And there are many services at the Bike Park in Rimini (info: 0541.1835082
www.bikeparkrimini.it): guarded parking, bike rental (single-speed, six-speed or electric, cargo bikes), cycle workshop equipped with mechanical assistance and information 7 days a week, 10 electric bike charging stations, accessories shop, new laundry service and a small café.

And for those who are passing through and would like to stay in the town only for a few hours, it is possible to use the luggage storage. One more possibility to discover the area by bicycle in a town that is a paradise for lovers of two wheels. There are over 130 kilometers of cycle paths, in continuous expansion, a green ring to be pedaled, a riverfront of artists that leads from the sea to the Marecchia cycle path, many kilometers of "sea view"cycle paths, from Rimini to Riccione. For several years, Rimini has been confirmed as a "bike-friendly" town, awarded the yellow flag, with the maximum score, by the Federazione Italiana Ambiente e Ciclabile.
