Hamlet of the Castle of Maciano

The cylindrical tower without a scarp that stands on the hill overlooking the town of Maciano is what remains of the ancient military apparatus.
Federico da Montefeltro in 1458 put the castle to the sword; the population resisted him for eight days but eventually the castle was razed to the ground. The tower has recently been restored and can also be visited inside upon request.
