Thrills and mysteries at Montebello Castle
A legend that captivates and fascinates all its visitors.
Once upon a time, there was a castle, in the year 1300 which dominated the valley, in the possession of Ugolinuccio da Montebello.
And once upon a time there was his daughter, Azzurrina, an albino girl who on June 21st, 1375, the summer solstice, disappeared into thin air while chasing a ball that had fallen into an underground trapdoor.
And this is where the story begins.
Mysterious apparitions, cries, lamentations, and tears have been studied by esoteric specialists.
The fact is that Azzurrina, or rather her ghost, is still in the castle (which is now called Rocca dei Guidi di Bagno) and makes herself heard on the summer solstice every five years when the year ends in 0 and 5!
