The beautiful season 2025/2026

Comune di Riccione

On Sunday 11 January, at the Cocoricò, Francesco Mandelli presents the Italian version of 'Baby "Reindeer/Piccola renna' (directed by Francesco Frangipane), the masterpiece with which Scottish comedian Richard Gadd first won over theatre critics and then Netflix audiences.

The appointments of Riccione's theatre season continue at the Granturismo. On 28 January, Cristiana Capotondi will take to the stage with the moving war story "Victory is the nurse of the defeated".

Transporting us to the marvels of thirteenth-century art is "Francesco e Giotto ad Assisi" (9 February), curated by Laura Amati and Pasquale D'Alessio, a poetic and musical journey with Davide Rondoni, the Ensemble Amarcanto and a string quartet, proposed to mark the eighth centenary of the death of St Francis.

On 12 February, Concita De Gregorio and the singer-songwriter Erica Mou bring to the stage the transposition of the illustrated book "In mezzo a un milione di rane e farfalle".

On 26 February, Niccolò Fettarappa arrives in Riccione with his desecrating contemporary satire: "Orgasm. Sorry prose on the end of sex'.
Tosca D'Aquino, Simone Montedoro, Elisabetta Mirra and Toni Fornari are the performers of "Cena con sorpresa" (6 March), a brilliant comedy that takes aim at the hypocrisies and prejudices of modern families.

On 13 March, Valeria Solarino and Silvia Gallerano will give voice and body to "Guarda le luci, amore mio" by Nobel Prize-winning writer Annie Ernaux, in a show co-produced by Riccione Teatro.

On 17 March, Elio Germano and Teho Teardo will perform "La guerra com'è", a tribute to the founder of Emergency, Gino Strada.

On 31 March, Ivan Cotroneo's "La denuncia" (The Complaint), an investigation into consent and manipulation in teacher-learner relations, is staged by Marta Pizzagallo and Elisabetta Mirra.

On 26 May, the season ends at the Cocoricò with "30 milligrams of Ulipistral" (directed by Paola Rota), a play that has revealed one of the greatest talents of new Italian dramaturgy, Benedetta Pigoni.

YOUTH FOCUS
Shows designed primarily for an adult audience are flanked by a programme dedicated primarily to young people in the afternoon (5 pm).

Figure theatre, but also sound and visual experimentation are at the heart of a programme that at the Granturismo welcomes prestigious guests such as the Ubu prize-winning performer Federica Rosellini ("Ivan e i cani", 18 January) and the Teatro delle Apparizioni company ("Lucy / Gli orsi" 31 January; "Il tenace soldatino di piombo. A film for the stage", 1 February).

The historic Socìetas, under the direction of Chiara Guidi, will instead have the honour of reopening the Spazio Tondelli to the public with a show that is now an international classic of children's theatre, "Buchettino" (19 March).

Season subscriptions include all the shows scheduled from January, except "Buchettino": 13 dates at a total cost of €130.
