When the sea was rough and the boats stayed ashore, the fishermen would gather in the osterias for a feast: 'La Maruscheda' is a fishermen's drinking party with songs, food, wine and company, a time to get together, to tell stories, because when people did not go to sea, every moment was a festive occasion.
The taverns, the wine, the singing together, for sailors were sacred rites, moments of meeting and belonging, indissoluble bonds.
Today that tradition lives again under the big top, with the same authentic spirit of yesteryear!
