Tour of Myth
I Percorsi del Savio
An extraordinary granfondo cycling race, starting and finishing in the heart of the Tuscan-Romagna Apennines, an area rich in history, nature, culture and passion for cycling.
Breathtaking landscapes that have made the history of great races such as the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France, immersed in a context that combines sport and tradition. Organised by the River22 Sporting Club and sponsored by the Unione dei Comuni della Valle del Savio, the Municipality of Bagno di Romagna and the Parco Nazionale delle Foreste Casentinesi, this event is an unmissable occasion for cycling and outdoor adventure enthusiasts.
The Giro del Mito was created as a unique cycling experience, capable of merging the sporting challenge with the evocative power of myth. The Myth as a universal tale of courage, limit and transformation. The Myth as the symbol of an extraordinary territory, where the Casentino Forests, the thermal waters of Bagno di Romagna, the legendary figure of Saint Agnes and the great climbs of the Apennines tackled by champions and great cycling races become epic scenarios, between history, sport and myth.
A granfondo for the daring, called to a challenge "beyond time", illuminated by the Myths: the Sacred Forests, the routes of Marco Pantani, the great races such as the Giro d'Italia and the Tour de France.
The year 2026 also marks a turning point: the Giro del Mito will no longer be run only on asphalt. Saturday 6 June sees the debut of the Giro del Mito Gravel, a non-competitive cycling experience open to gravel bikes, MTBs and E-bikes.
The Giro del Mito will also be a great popular celebration, with a two-day programme for cyclists, families and visitors. Food stands, DJ sets and musical entertainment, an expo area, activities for adults and children (with themed games) will animate the centre of Bagno di Romagna.
Registration for the granfondo is officially open at www.girodelmito.com .
Events may be subject to change, always contact organizers before going to the venue.
