On the occasion of Celestial Night, we invite you to discover one of the most fascinating and historically rich places in Castrocaro: the Fortress of Castrocaro Terme.
For almost a millennium, the Fortress of Castrocaro has majestically watched over this corner of land, erected on a rocky spur that gives it a spectacular view. Its unique profile blends harmoniously into the surrounding landscape, creating a unique combination of fortified architecture and nature.

What you will see during the visit
At the heart of the museum complex, you will have the opportunity to explore various environments, including the Rocca, the Medicean Arsenals, the Palazzo del Castellano, the Cortile delle Armi and the Corte. You can admire the Church of Santa Barbara, the Prison Tower, and the mysterious Troglodytic Caves. Don't miss the suggestive Acquacheta Balcony, which offers a breathtaking panorama stretching as far as Mount Falterona.
Inside the Palazzo del Castellano, the Historical-Archaeological Museum welcomes you with the exhibition "L'Aquila, le Chiavi, il Giglio" (The Eagle, the Keys, the Lily), where you can admire a collection of ancient weapons, majolica, paintings, furniture and furnishings that tell the story of this extraordinary place.
