Pietracuta turns red: the countdown to the 2026 Cherry Festival begins

From 29 May to 1 June, the historic 'Festa dal Zarisi' returns.

Four days of music, gastronomy, and tradition in the heart of the Marecchia Valley.

Pietracuta is preparing to once again embrace its Sagra delle Ciliegie (Cherry Festival), the event that has been celebrating the territory's symbolic fruit since 1976 and that for the 2026 edition has decided to "exaggerate" by extending the celebrations to four days.

The 'Festa dal Zarisi' has its roots in the peasant tradition of the 'Antaneta' area, once rich in cherry orchards that supplied the entire valley with prized varieties such as Corniola and Bigherrau.

The programme: between music and flavours

Friday 29 May
Opening of food stands (6 p.m.) and evening dedicated to clubbing with the return of the Retropolis format.

Saturday 30 May:
The roar of engines with the "Cherries on Vespa" rally and the great live performance by Break Free, recognised as one of the best Queen tributes in Europe.

Sunday 31 May:
the afternoon will be accompanied by the Lisa Bretani orchestra, followed by "lui e gli amici del Re" - an official tribute to Adriano Celentano.

Monday 1 June:
prime-time guest Andrea Amati (live music) followed by the 90 mania with music and special effects.

Highlight days with markets of typical products, handicrafts and children's entertainment.

Gastronomic Excellence



The absolute protagonist remains the cherry, declined in every form: from baskets of freshly picked fruit to sweet specialities such as tarts and local jams, accompanied by typical dishes of Romagna cuisine served at the stands set up in Viale Umberto I.

It will be four days of pure energy to officially welcome summer.
