After twenty years, the sky is once again treating us to the thrill of a solar eclipse. To celebrate this extraordinary event, the Rocca Malatestiana in Verucchio is organising “Just for one night. Eclipse at the Rocca”, a special evening to be enjoyed in one of the most fascinating and scenic spots in Romagna.

From 7.30 pm, you’ll be able to observe the eclipse under the guidance of experts from the Rubicone Astronomical Association, who will help the public discover the secrets of the sky and this rare astronomical phenomenon.

After observing the eclipse, as the sun sets, you’ll be able to enjoy a picnic on the fortress ramparts, with specialities prepared by Agriturismo Duslaun in Verucchio (booking required), immersed in a unique atmosphere blending history, nature and the surrounding landscape.
The evening will continue with readings on the theme of the eclipse, organised by the Rilego e Rileggo Association, interspersed with guided observations of the starry sky.
A special opportunity to be captivated by the beauty of the cosmos and to experience the Rocca in an unusual and evocative setting.
To make the evening even more enchanting, wear a white dress or accessory.

Single menu for omnivores and vegetarians:
- Spelt salad with cherry tomatoes, Taggiasca olives, chickpeas, courgettes and mint
- Cassoncino with herbs and squacquerone (piada-style dough with olive oil)
- Slice of tart

Menu for coeliacs:
- Rice salad with cherry tomatoes, Taggiasca olives, chickpeas, courgettes and mint
- Cassoncino (made with gluten-free flour) with herbs and squacquerone
- Traditional dessert
