In Montefiore Conca, an evening walk through the countryside, featuring local produce and stargazing.

On Sunday 2 August 2026, Malatempora APS is organising a special evening at the Big Bench in Montefiore Conca, starting from the Circolo di Serbadone, featuring a tasting session and stargazing in collaboration with the Monte San Lorenzo Astronomical Observatory.

An evening designed to slow down, take a walk, view the countryside from a different perspective and look up at the sky.

The event starts at 7.30 pm at the Circolo di Serbadone, from where an easy, scenic walk sets off towards the giant bench overlooking the Valconca.

The route to the Giant Bench is a walk of around 1.5 km, taking approximately 30 minutes and covering an elevation gain of about 80 metres one way: an accessible outing, designed to let you experience the landscape at a leisurely pace and arrive at the Big Bench at the most evocative time of day – sunset!

Upon arrival, participants will receive a tasting box filled with local produce, to be enjoyed at the Big Bench with the illuminated Rocca in the background.

Afterwards, the evening will really get underway with stargazing organised by the Monte San Lorenzo Astronomical Observatory, which will guide those present in discovering the stars, constellations and wonders of the summer sky.

The event is open to all ages, with booking essential and places limited to 40 participants.

The contribution requested is 6 euros per participant. To take part, we recommend bringing water, comfortable shoes, a torch, a jumper or jacket, and a blanket to sit on and enjoy the evening.
