Puppet Festival 2026 – 36th edition

From 21 July to 2 August 2026, the Puppet Festival returns – a long-standing event dedicated to puppetry for children and families, with performances taking place across Poggio Torriana and Santarcangelo di Romagna.

The festival kicks off on Tuesday 21 July at 9.00 pm at the Giardino delle Pietre Recuperate in Torriana with ‘Baci, abbracci e bastonate’ by the Compagnia Teatro della Sete: a fun and poetic show featuring traditional masks, from Arlecchino to Pantalone, full of adventures, misunderstandings and plot twists.

31 July – San Martino dei Mulini: ‘Due burattini e un bebè’ | Santarcangelo
1 August – Canonica: ‘Pulcinella molto mosso’ | Santarcangelo
2 August – MEET Park, Santarcangelo: ‘Il vestito nuovo dell’Imperatopo’ | Santarcangelo

All performances are free to attend and are suitable for children aged 3 and over.

In the event of bad weather, alternative indoor venues will be provided.
