The traditional Ferragosto celebrations return to Perticara, combining the solemnity of the Feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary with the commemoration of the miners who lost their lives whilst working in Europe’s largest sulphur mine. Now in its 170th year, the event features two weeks of events, music, celebrations and activities for everyone.
