The final concert of the series takes place in Montefiore Conca, in Piazza della Libertà, at the foot of the Rocca Malatestiana. On Sunday 6 September, at 6.00 pm, the MYO Hot Syncopators, conducted by Michele Chiaretti, will take to the stage with ‘Irresistibile Hot Jazz’: a repertoire from the 1920s and 1930s, drawing on the style of American dance bands, performed acoustically and lit solely by natural light. This will be followed by a toast with the audience.

The concert is part of “Valconca in scena – Collodi 200”, a project by the Unione Valconca to mark the 200th anniversary of Carlo Collodi’s birth. There are two strands: ‘The Music of the Land of Toys’, featuring nine concerts by the Mondaino Youth Orchestra and the Mondaino Wind Orchestra, and ‘Pinocchio in Valconca’, the travelling show by Città Teatro that has taken the puppet’s journey through the squares, terraces and fortresses of the valley.
