"Of Flesh and Light is a series of paintings that explores the human figure as a meeting point between physical presence and the inner dimension. The bodies – both female and male – are revealed through a crisp yet sensitive brushstroke, whilst colour expands within them, free from all constraints.
I do not pursue defined images or preconceived ideas: rather, I seek to give space to the emotions that flow through me, allowing them to take shape through the act of painting.
Watercolour, gouache and monotype printing are the techniques I rely on most.
A fundamental aspect of my artistic exploration is my focus on the purity of materials and on everything that accompanies the artist’s craftsmanship. I consider this process an integral part of my practice and my creative journey."
