The Associazione I Cammini di Francesco in Emilia Romagna once again proposes an itinerary of nativity scenes along the Saint Francis Walk.
From December to 6 January, in Rimini, in the villages of the Marecchia Valley and at the Sanctuary of La Verna, numerous nativity scenes are on display in convents, fortresses, churches; ancient and modern; made by master nativity scene makers, nuns and friars, works of art or simple creations made by children.
All to celebrate the birth of the Child of Bethlehem, as St Francis called him.

20th-century plaster nativity scene by sculptor and painter
Giuseppe Busuoli (1894-1948), set up in the cloister where a cypress tree that tradition says was planted by St Francis stands.
Inside the church, frescoes of the 14th-century Rimini School and recently rediscovered frescoes are not always visible.
