A technical course organised by Sauro Biffi, director of the Giardino delle Erbe di Casola Valsenio (Herb Garden of Casola Valsenio), dedicated to the discovery of officinal plants and their use in cosmetics, to take care of the body in a natural and sustainable way.
A day offering the opportunity to learn the techniques for transforming officinal plants into useful and personalised cosmetic products.
The morning will begin with a walk through the cultivations of the Garden, to observe the officinal plants up close and discover their beneficial properties for body care. During the walk, we will learn to recognise the most suitable species for cosmetic uses and will proceed to collect the plants needed for preparations. Immediately afterwards, the first practical steps will begin, guided by detailed explanations and useful insights.
The afternoon will be dedicated to the completion of the longer procedures, with a practical focus on the creation of natural cosmetics such as creams, ointments and oils, using natural and sustainable ingredients.
At the end of the course, everyone will take home their own preparations, the fruit of an authentic, hands-on experience.
