Archaeology of taste
Comune di Riccione
The cultural review, now in its sixth edition, will embark on a five-part journey to discover the culture, history and dining habits of Asia. The extraordinary journey will run from Iran to Tajikistan, from India and Central Asia to Armenia and Georgia to Uzbekistan.
As always, the event will include a moment of in-depth historical and cultural study with illustrious historians and researchers and a convivial moment with themed dinners prepared by the students and teachers of the S. Savioli Hotel School and, this year for the first time, by the Ial Hotel and Catering School of Riccione.
Also new for this edition is the prestigious collaboration with Ismeo- International Association for Mediterranean and Eastern Studies and, for the first time, the triple curatorship of the exhibition thanks to the participation of Bologna University professors Luca Colliva and Serenella Mancini, who flank the coordinator of the Territorial Museum Andrea Tirincanti.
All invited speakers are directors of archaeological research supported by Ismeo and also by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
The meetings will be held at Riccione's Palazzo del Turismo at 5:30 p.m., while thematic dinners will be held at the S. Savioli Hotel Institute (viale Piacenza, 35) on Sunday 2 February, 16 March and 6 April, and at the Ial (viale Torino, 67) on Sunday 16 February and 2 March.
To take part in the thematic dinners (reception from 7.30 p.m. at the two institutes), reservations must be made at the Museo del Territorio (viale Lazio, 10) no later than the Thursday before the date of the event by paying a contribution of €28 per person.
