Bellariva di Rimini
Where it is
The seaside resort of Bellariva is easily accessible both from the Rimini Sud exit of the A14 motorway and from Miramare airport, and is the first hamlet of the southern coast of Rimini.
It offers many services, a vast range of accommodation facilities able to satisfy every type of need and many opportunities for fun on the beach and on the promenade.
Don't miss
Bellariva, as well as the other hamlets of Rimini Sud, tells visitors about an important chapter in the history of the Adriatic coast of Romagna, represented by the seaside hostels that were erected in this area in the early 1900s. Built directly on the beach, they were used first as hydrotherapy nursing homes for children (e.g. Colonia Murri, named after the famous pathologist Augusto Murri, from the University of Bologna), then, at the time of Fascism, they became real citadels for the control and education of new generations.
Gradually abandoned towards the end of the economic boom, today efforts are being made to restore them through cultural and sporting initiatives, shows and workshops, thus promoting their urban regeneration.
