The Fair aims to promote local specialities, selecting the very best, first and foremost the prized white truffle. Straight from our local area, from its natural habitat – the woods – this precious tuber is transformed in the kitchen into dishes of the highest gastronomic value, exuding heady aromas far removed from the globalisation that so often overwhelms us, thereby safeguarding the integrity of our environment.

On Sundays in October, Sant’Agata becomes a place where you can immerse yourself in an evocative and fragrant atmosphere, strolling through the streets and squares to admire the many local specialities on display at the event. The wine tour showcases leading wineries, whilst the truffle-hunting dog competition offers a chance to experience first-hand the thrilling hunt for the precious tuber in the company of a faithful dog.

A visit to the town is also an opportunity to admire the ancient monuments of great architectural value: the Angelo Mariani Theatre, Rocca Fregoso, the Convent of San Girolamo and the ornate fountains.
