PINK NIGHT 2024 IS WEEKEND DANCE
San Giovanni in Marignano joins the Pink Night with two music-filled events!

From July 5-7, 2024, Romagna will be transformed into the largest open-air dance floor in Italy. It will be a Pink Night in the sign of dance, from folk rhythms to sports dance, from country to ballroom dancing, from disco dance to hip hop, from rock to indie hop, passing through the world of clubbing and discos. A great collective party, which will see the whole of Romagna go wild until dawn, along the 110 km of coastline (and more) between the provinces of Rimini, Forlì-Cesena, Ravenna and Ferrara, from the beach to the hills, from clubs to art venues, including free concerts with big names of national and international music, art installations, exhibitions, fireworks, shows, magical scenery, dyeing streets, squares, bathing establishments, hotels, monuments pink.
A choral event, a real summer New Year's Eve, celebrating dance and the desire to have fun and infecting hundreds of thousands of people every year with its overwhelming cheerfulness.

For several years now, this unmissable event has also been celebrated in San Giovanni in Marignano. In the Entertainment Arena of San Giovanni in Marignano (via Largo Fosso del Pallone) on Friday, July 5 at 9:15 p.m. as part of Literary Itineraries comes Robbottoni, or 80s cartoon theme songs narrated by Alessandro Barbaglia, Mondadori author, with music reinterpreted by a duo of extraordinary musicians, the PitrekSpitrek.
Valeria Sturba, a violinist and multi-instrumentalist, lover of toy instruments and manipulator of sounds and loops will sing those theme songs that saw us as children: Ufo Robot, Mazzinga, and you name it. On the cello her trusty traveling companion Giuseppe Franchellucci.
Barbaglia on the words will tell us in an incredible way what lies behind those musics, perhaps the best Prog-rock of that decade, and especially behind those lyrics about resistance, anti-imperialism, social redemption, solidarity, pacifism... all the stuff of children, in short. Because there is nothing more serious than being a child.

On Sunday, July 7, at 9 p.m., Carl Orff's "Carmina Burana - Cantiones Profanae, for soloists, choir, 2 pianos and percussion" by the San Carlo Choir of Pesaro with Conductor Salvatore Francavilla will be staged.

Carmina burana is a scenic cantata composed by Carl Orff between 1935 and 1936, and is based on 24 poems from among those found in the medieval collection of the same name by goliards and clerics vagantes. The full title is "Carmina burana: Cantiones profanae cantoribus et choris, comitantibus instrumentis atque imaginibus magicis."

The San Carlo Choir of Pesaro, composed of about 45 elements, has been active as a musical formation since 1982, carrying out an intense activity that has led it to hold numerous concerts, including in collaboration with first-rate soloists and orchestras, and to participate successfully in national and international festivals. The artistic staff consists of M° Salvatore Francavilla (music director), M° Claudio Colapinto (artistic director), M° Giorgia Borgacci (master trainer), M° Ilaria Ceccarelli (vocal trainer), M° Andrea Boidi (pianist).
