The event is dedicated to the main product of Italian tables and takes place over two days. Visits to ancient bakeries are planned to discover traditions and flavors now forgotten. Maiolo, inland from Rimini, is best known for its distinctive bread, made with local flours and traditional methods celebrated with this festival, during which the village ovens are lit and products are offered to participants.

Bread is also dedicated to a widespread museum consisting of about 50 ovens scattered throughout the area dating back to the early 19th century, about 10 of which are active and functioning for ancient and traditional bread-making, witnesses to the local farming culture.

The town still retains its hamlets, old peasant houses, and small squares, and has always been a tourist destination for the historic Maioletto Fortress, from which there is a fantastic view.
