EVENTO TRASCORSO
27th Riccione TTV Festival - Three Ways Not to Die, with Toni Servillo
Comune di Riccione
Thanks to the collaboration with the Piccolo Teatro di Milano - Teatro d'Europa and Agenzia Teatri, the 27th Riccione TTV Festival dedicates a special tribute to one of the greatest artists of Italian cinema and theatre, Toni Servillo.
Starting with texts by Giuseppe Montesano, Toni Servillo guides the audience on a journey in three stages, a journey that is an antidote to the paralysis of thought, to the non-life that tries to swallow us, a way to find the words that an actor says with all his body and mind, to nourish his and our interiority.
"Tre modi per non morire" is Toni Servillo's theatrical journey à rebours through three moments in which certain poets - Charles Baudelaire, Dante and the Greek classics - have taught us to seek life, scheduled for Tuesday 24 September at 9 pm at the Palazzo dei Congressi. The evening opens with the verses of Baudelaire, who in "Monsieur Baudelaire, when will the night end?" tells how beauty combats depression and injustice; it continues with "The voices of Dante", in which the famous characters of the "Comedy" appear to us bound together by a story that illuminates them starting from the present; it finally arrives at "The wise fire", in which poetry and philosophy of the Greek classics light up a vision capable of imagining the future.
Tickets on sale from Monday 26 August on Liveticket.it and at authorised Liveticket outlets (advance sale fees apply); at the Villa Franceschi box office from 27 August to 17 October (opening times: Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 9am-1pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 2pm-6pm). For information: Riccione Teatro, ttv@riccioneteatro.it.
