EVENTO TRASCORSO

27th Riccione TTV Festival - What scripts for theatre

Comune di Riccione

A reflection on the state of the art of playwriting through a dialogue with one of the most important playwrights on the contemporary scene, Lucia Calamaro.
Writing for the theatre is experiencing a season of renewed attention, thanks also to the pedagogical commitment of a generation such as Lucia Calamaro's, which has built its own training path independently, without institutional support, and which has therefore also placed the generational passage, the transmission of knowledge, at the centre of its artistic action.
What are the emerging writings? What are the themes and approaches? When is theatre writing free to invent and how much does it chase after already beaten models? What are the concerns, urgencies and imaginative universes of those writing for the stage today?
Starting from the experience of an artist who has built her own artistic discourse outside the institutional canons and who has confronted herself, through the Scritture school, with many of the authors of the following generations, we will recount today's dramaturgy, its voices, its ability to rethink not only themes and stories, but also language.

In collaboration with the Teatro Stabile di Bolzano.

Free admission, reservation required.
