The land of Christmas

Comune di Sant'Agata Feltria

The most important winter event in central Italy for Christmas market enthusiasts.
The Christmas village attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world. In the extensive exhibition, gift ideas, artistic handicrafts and tasteful decorations are offered, all wrapped in an atmosphere full of charm and ancient traditions.

As visitors stroll through the streets and squares, they can listen to the sweet, characteristic sound of bagpipes and at the same time admire the enchanting handcrafted cribs on display and the artistic dioramas, part of the 'A Riveder le Stelle' (To See the Stars Again) itinerary.

The 'Father Christmas House' is set up in the market square, not far from which is the home of the 'Elves'. It is here that children experience their magic moment, and while waiting to see their most longed-for dreams come true, they approach in amazement to deliver their letter to Santa's secretary, who, ever present, is ready to listen to and accommodate their wishes.

Performances linked to the most ancient traditions: pipers, Santa's band and Christmas music create an atmosphere of soft sweetness and ancient memories.
On this occasion, gastronomy is proposed with the rediscovery of traditional local dishes, the most typical and characteristic of the Christmas season. Restaurants, trattorias and inns present on those days an established gastronomic itinerary called 'I Piatti dell'Avvento' (Advent Dishes), prepared in accordance with the customs and traditions of Santagata Christmas.
