Sara and Valentina live together and are lifelong friends; both in their forties, beautiful single women, they are, however, substantially different: Sara is fulfilled by her job and/or resigned to a cynical view of love, Valentina on the other hand feels the biological ticking clock and, unable to be alone, goes from one boyfriend to another. Obviously none is the right one, although the last one, the waiter Santo, seems to turn out to be the man with whom she can finally grow old peacefully... but he hides a secret...

In a succession of exciting twists and turns, made even more hilarious by the intervention of the meddlesome housekeeper Maria, the trio manage - perhaps! - finally find their own particular balance...
