The event is a mainstay of Verucchio's folklore tradition and is known as 'La fiera del bestiame e degli antichi mestieri' (the cattle and ancient crafts fair).

It aims to bring back to the charming alleys of the medieval village the farm animals and ancient trades that once animated the town: the cobbler, the dairyman, the baker, the flintmonger, the blacksmith, the potter and the ceramist to make adults and children rediscover the beauty of traditions and the past.
