Production Theatre Two Worlds

"Trebbo' in Romagna dialect means meeting, reunion, vigil with friends. Until a few years ago, these gatherings took place in the stables, where, on long, cold winter nights, men, women and children would tell stories around the light of a lantern.

Between funny and spooky tales, the most popular stories were about spirits. And it was in this spirit that, during the restoration of an old farmhouse, a manuscript was found: pages from the theatre telling of the spirits of Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet, Othello... Shakespeare rewritten by the peasants in the Romagna dialect.

A show that combines popular tradition and great literature, transforming centuries-old stories into a lively, ironic and surprising narration, capable of making today's audience smile and wonder.
