Italy in Miniature
Since 1970, Italia in Miniatura in Rimini has offered visitors a breath-taking glimpse of the wonders of Italy and its seas, lakes, rivers and around 5,000 trees - all in miniature. Hundreds of paved squares and 300 scale miniatures of monuments of the architectural heritage of Italy and Europe, built brick by brick; there’s even Matera, European Capital of Culture 2019. What we’ve created is a huge three-dimensional map just waiting to be discovered and photographed. Here, history, art and the geniality of man come to life, even in fun scenes from everyday life thanks to the thousands of Lilliput-sized figures and trains.
Fun, interaction and culture are the three key words for the park, which becomes a huge area where visitors can play and enjoy wonderful experiences for all the family. Visitors can become artists thanks to La tavolozza del pittore - The Artist’s Palette, they can try ancient trades in Un tuffo nel medioevo - Diving into the Middle Ages, play without smartphones, but putting to the test their skill and timing with I balocchi di una volta - Toys and Games of Yesteryear, learn about ceramics and terracotta in La bottega del vasaio - The Potter’s Workshop and put together the tesserae of a timeless art with Mosaicando. The park also offers plenty of entertainment and great events such as Stelle in Pigiama - Stars in Pyjamas; the summer’s craziest pyjama party.
There are lots of attractions included in the entrance price: the adrenalin-fuelled rapids of the Old Sawmill and the Panoramic Tower, the mediaeval sieges of Cannonacqua, a water ride through Venice or a trip on the Monorail that travels, suspended in mid-air, around the entire perimeter of the park. For those who love to explore there’s the Science Fun Fair, miniature cars in the Interactive Driving School and a chance to get up close to parrots in Pappamondo, whilst for our very youngest guests, there’s Pinocchio, PlayMart or the magical experience of riding on the Belle Epoque Merry-go-Round.
Paying a small supplement, visitors can also enjoy the adventures of AreAvventura and Cinemagia7D.
