About Villa Torlonia

First stop along the Uso River, a start in the green

Our journey begins at Bellaria, in Via Ravenna, just on the right bank of the Uso river. Follow the convenient cycle/pedestrian path that, having passed the SS 16 subway, leads you gently towards the locality of Castrum Lusi.

Second stop between rivers and ancient fords

At Castrum Lusi, a wooden footbridge invites you to cross the river, then turn left to follow the opposite bank. Let the placid flow of the water accompany you to the point where the Uso embraces the Rio Salto.

Third stop on the banks of the Rio Salto

Now follow the embankment of the Rio Salto to reach the bridge at Podere Isola, then turn right onto a quiet asphalt road, keeping the Rio on your right. The route continues on a dirt track, passing the 'La Raschina' house on the right, until it crosses Via Viona.

Fourth stop arrival at 'La Tora', between history and poetry

Turn right onto Via Viona and continue to the junction before the bridge over the Rio Salto, indicating the road to Villa Torlonia. Here, go left and prepare to reach 'La Tora', the dialect term that affectionately designates the Villa. You will be immersed in the places that nourished Giovanni Pascoli's imagination, almost hearing the echo of his verses.

The return a new look

For the return journey, simply follow the reverse route, enjoying with a new perspective the landscapes that accompanied you on the outward journey. Let the magic of these places continue to resonate within you.
