Christmas lights illuminate the Rimini Riviera, transforming coastal cities like Riccione, Cattolica, Bellaria-Igea Marina, and Misano Adriatico into a vibrant scene of colors, music, events, ice skating rinks, markets, and numerous other activities designed to celebrate the festive season.
In Riccione, the "Riccione Christmas Sea" will kick off on November 24 at 5:00 PM in Viale Ceccarini, with a performance by renowned saxophonist Isabella Fabbri. The audience will be taken on an exciting musical journey enriched by a stunning dance choreography inspired by her album Elementa, which celebrates the elements of nature. Starting November 24, the city center will shine with spectacular Christmas decorations, creating a unique atmosphere. The theme of water, central to the artistic project, will be reflected in scenic installations and light displays. Key attractions include the Lungomare Ice Park, a large skating rink stretching to Piazzale Roma, and the majestic Christmas tree at the harbor, whose twinkling lights will reflect on the sea’s waters.
In Cattolica, the Christmas magic will light up on November 23 with the opening of the "Cattolica Christmas Village". The city center will feature a blue carpet, food stalls, an ice rink, the Igloo of Bagnino Natale, a Ferris wheel, and a grand New Year’s Eve celebration in Roosevelt Square. The ice rink will officially open on November 30 and remain accessible until January 6, with a special event dedicated to Epiphany. A food village showcasing local and other delicacies will be set up along Via Bovio, while Roosevelt Square will offer dedicated spaces for children with creative workshops and other themed activities.
In Bellaria-Igea Marina, the Christmas spirit will start to spread from November 17, with DJ sets and live music enlivening the city center. The program will peak starting December 1, featuring family-friendly activities and performances, the iconic sand nativity scene in Igea Marina, and roaming shows with artists, acrobats, and performers along the Isola dei Platani.
Finally, Misano Adriatico is preparing to celebrate Christmas with an ice rink in Piazza della Repubblica, the heart of “Misano On Ice”. The official inauguration will take place on November 23, the same day the lights will be switched on throughout the Riviera. Alongside the rink, the festive program will include wooden stalls offering traditional sweets and local delicacies, as well as classic craft markets. Activities will conclude on January 7 with the traditional Epiphany celebration.
