The tour’s highlights:
PORTA GALLIANA: an ancient 13th-century medieval gate, the historic gateway to the harbour-canal and the hub of the city’s maritime trade.

VECCHIA PESCHERIA and PIAZZETTA delle POVERACCE: the historic market dating from 1747, built of Istrian stone, which for centuries was the centre of the fish trade and a testament to community life.

BORGO SAN GIULIANO: the historic fishermen’s quarter, famous for its colourful houses, authentic atmosphere and murals paying tribute to Federico Fellini.

A short but fascinating itinerary, ideal for discovering the city’s maritime history and traditions.
