A night at the museum

Comune di Rimini

A journey of discovery through Rimini’s great artistic period, spanning the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

In the 14th century, the city experienced a period of extraordinary cultural ferment, with the emergence of the Rimini School, an expression of an elegant and innovative style influenced by Giotto. Leading figures included artists such as Giovanni da Rimini, Giuliano da Rimini and Giovanni Baronzio, who helped to establish Rimini as a major artistic centre, with its influence extending across the Marche and Dalmatia.

The exhibition allows visitors to admire works of great value, including Giovanni da Rimini’s Crucifix, Giuliano da Rimini’s polyptych and the Crucifixion with Saints Damian, Cosmas, Catherine and Barbara.

The itinerary continues into the Renaissance, spanning the 15th and 16th centuries, with the era of the Malatesta family and new masterpieces that round off a journey through art and history.

An ideal experience for discovering the city’s artistic heritage through one of its most significant periods.
