Luigi Lo Cascio reads 'The Road', the literary masterpiece that won the Pulitzer Prize for one of the greatest writers of our time, Cormac McCarthy.
Accompanied by the soundtrack by G.U.P. Alcaro, already winner of the 2014 and 2023 Ubu prizes in the category dedicated to the best sound project, Lo Cascio's voice gives body to the story of a man and a child, father and son on their way through roads of ashes and exhausted landscapes.
They are each other's whole world, tenaciously travelling towards the coast, where a sea that is perhaps still blue awaits them. Guiding them is the conviction that they are the good guys, those who 'bring fire' to a universe from which all other light has been banished. A powerful prophecy, an unforgettable narrative about the best and worst of which human beings are capable.
