EVENTO TRASCORSO
A room of your own. Paths of female literature and writing
Comune di Riccione
As part of the International Women's Day celebrations, the Municipal Library is hosting the cultural event "Una stanza tutta per te. Paths of female literature and writing", conceived, curated and coordinated by Riccione writer Debora Grossi.
The programme includes a series of appointments at the Library's conference hall. On Saturday 8 March, in the afternoon, Stella Manduchi and Eleonora Melucci will present "Le inaspettate - Le autrici dimenticati del '900" (The Unexpected - The Forgotten Women Authors of the 20th Century), a journey to rediscover little-known but very valuable female writers.
The following Saturday, 15 March, again in the afternoon, the meeting "Exceptional but not exceptions" will feature Isabella Leardini, Ivonne Mussoni, Sofia Fiorini, Anna Paradisi and Rebecca Garbin, who will tell the stories of some extraordinary figures of world poetry such as Dickinson, Szymborska, Plath, Achmatova and Glück. Following this, the authors will read some of their poems. During this event, the Mondadori bookstore in Riccione, which collaborates with the Library as part of the "Riccione pact for reading as a common good", will be present with the poets' works.
Finally, on Saturday 22 March, with both morning and afternoon sessions, there will be an intensive creative writing workshop led by writers Francesca Mairani and Stella Manduchi. All events are free admission, with bookings at the Library.
