EVENTO TRASCORSO
27th Riccione TTV Festival - Best regards
Comune di Riccione
"Dear N, you were too much": so begins the never-delivered letter that Wendy Houstoun wrote to her colleague Nigel Charnock, a few days before he died in 2012. In the 1980s, Charnock had been one of the founders of DV8 - Physical Theatre and had then gone solo as a performer and choreographer, creating a series of formidable solos.
The show "Best regards" - exceptionally hosted at the Spazio Tondelli site - is the letter that D'Agostin writes, late, to someone who will never answer. It is a way of saying: "Dear N, I too wanted to be too much". From this present, D'Agostin addresses the same invitation to all the spectators: 'Let us sing together of a nostalgia that concerns us, we who have not arrived in time to say what we wanted to. In the shadow of the expired time, and under the light that Nigel continues to project onto the stage of those who dance today, let's make a pounding refrain resound, let's spread a blank sheet of paper before our eyes and ask ourselves: how do we begin it, this impossible letter?"
Tickets for the individual performances of the TTV Festival are on pre-sale on the Liveticket.it website and in authorised Liveticket outlets (pre-sale fees apply), at the Villa Franceschi box office until 17 October (opening times: Monday-Wednesday-Friday, 9am-1pm, Tuesday and Thursday, 2pm-6pm). On performance days, the box office opens two hours before the event.
